Our history begins in 1984 with two partners, Daniel Abelovich and Ciro Polano (former members of Coopers & Lybrand), who focused on SMEs’ problems and decided to find strategies to improve their growth.

Since 1985, with the addition of new partners, the Firm increased the span of services offered, thus substantially improving the level and size of local and international clients and, at the same time, developing an image of quality highly recognized in the market.

In 1989, complying with quality standards, Abelovich, Polano & Asociados was selected as the Argentinean member firm of Smith & Williamson International (an international audit and consulting firm based in London), to help with the development of associated firms in the region.

In 1999, Smith & Williamson merged with Saffery Champness International, consolidating a new Professional Association called SC International.

In 2005, we were registered with the PCAOB (Public Company Accounting Oversight Board), a United States entity set up under the SEC (Security and Exchange Commission), which supervises Firms that issue auditing opinions regarding listed companies. In January, 2008, Nexia International and SC International, two of the main international networks of external consultants regarding accounting, tax and business in general, merged under the name of NEXIA INTERNATIONAL. The new established group is amongst the top 10 of the global ranking of audit and consulting services.
